With her passion for Pediatrics, Dr. Varma collaborated with the pediatric speech and swallow therapists at Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital and has since started a multi-disciplinary Aerodigestive Clinic, addressing the needs of both inpatient and outpatient children with complex swallowing and voice disorders.

Despite being early in her career, Dr. Varma has sought to establish herself both locally and nationally in the Otolaryngology community. She has served as vice-chair of the Long Beach Memorial Medical Center/Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital Otolaryngology department. She is also on the Executive Committee for the Orange County Society of Head and Neck Surgery, working to further the education of the Otolaryngologists in her community. She served as Program Chair for the 2020 American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery national conference.

Dr. Varma has also had the privilege of leading several missions to Guatemala through the Mending Kids organization, providing much-needed care to those children. She hopes to continue her community outreach, both locally and globally.
