Christy Beranek is an accredited Physician Assistant who has been with SCENT since 2002.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of California Riverside, and holds a Master’s of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Western University, where she was awarded the Blake award of academic excellence for the highest GPA upon graduation. Christy is a member of the California Association of Physician Assistants, SCENTAC (The Society for Ear Nose and Throat Advances in Children), SPAO/AAO-HNS (The Society of physician assistants in otolaryngology/American academy of otolaryngology head and neck surgery). She also sits on the Intradisciplinary Practice Committee at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.
Christy is trained in multiple in office procedure including Intratympanic membrane injections for sudden hearing loss, myringotomy +/- tube placement, oral and nasal biopsies, nasopharyngoscopy, nasal cauterization and packing, frenulectomy, Ear Well placement for congenital ear deformities, Mandibular advancement device fitting for obstructive sleep apnea, and removal of ear and nasal foreign bodies.
